Lasell’s election awareness team has upcoming events for the November Presidential Election with National Voter Registration Day on September 25 and the Presidential Debate on October 3. The slogan, “Make Your Voice Heard,” is encouraging everyone on campus to take part in the election process.

Tuesday, September 25 is National Voter Registration Day. The SGA will have a registration table located outside of Valentine Dining Hall during common hours. Local musician, Allastair Moock, will be performing music to celebrate America outside Yamawaki at 12:30 p.m. There will be a registration table set up during the performance.

Student Activities will be holding an event on Wednesday, October 3 at 9 p.m. in Rosen Auditorium to live broadcast the Presidential Debate. There will be a green screen available for students to take pictures with their candidate of choice, courtesy of Sara Richardson and Jenny Granger.

Both events will have voting registration forms and absentee ballots for students to fill out. Newton Women’s League representative, Sharyn Roberts, will be available to help with any questions regarding both forms, and to help spread voting awareness throughout campus.

The “Make Your Voice Heard” campaign by this year’s election awareness team is possible with thanks to Lasell’s SGA, the Donahue Institute, Student Affairs, and the Graphic Design League. For students wishing to get involved in spreading awareness, contact:
