The Melt Into Color fashion show, held on March 31, was dedicated to the Birthday Wishes Foundation. Since 2002, Birthday Wishes provides homeless and underprivileged children with birthday parties. The foundation sets out to boost the self-esteem for children and promote equal opportunities for all. Proceeds from a raffle and two pop up shops on site were donated to Birthday Wishes.

Jessica Golder, Student Director of this year’s show, was happy with the fluidity of the evening. Golder said there were a few minor technical difficulties that will be dealt with before the big shows in May.

In this year’s charity show, two current students and one Lasell alumni had collections. The rest of the collections represented were from local boutiques and stores.

The models in the show, who were all Lasell students, were delighted with the opportunity to participate in such a good cause.

“It’s great how everyone can come together as a community and give back for such an outstanding cause,” said Gianna Accardi, a model in the recent and upcoming shows.
