Senior student Armando Machado Jr. is making a difference in his community.
By working with the New England Center and Home for Veterans, he’s raising money and awareness. The charity helps former members of the military to find jobs and gives them a place to stay until they get back on their feet.
On Monday, March 27 from 11-2 p.m., Machado Jr. and fellow senior student Lisa D’Angelo sold chocolate chip cookies for donation in the Glow Lounge, helping to raise money for the cause.
“I’ve always wanted to do a fundraiser to aid Veterans. Homelessness is a big issue that I’ve also wanted to help out with. Veterans deserve a lot of credit for what they’ve done for our country”, says Machado Jr.
