It’s been a little over a month since I started here at Lasell. I’m just your typical freshman – I live in Woodland, dread waking up for my 8 a.m. and eat the same foods from the dining hall. I also have a little bit of a Red Bull addiction. I’m not complaining though! It’s been a fun, busy and tiring month but we all made it and we’re doing pretty well so far. Here’s the top three ways my life breaks down these days:
- Valentine Dining Hall
My diet this month consisted of pizza, alfredo, burgers and on Thursday’s, chicken nuggets. There’s plenty of options for different things to eat, it’s just hard to try something new when you’re a picky eater like me.
Tip: When in Valentine, ask the person standing behind the grill for a grilled cheese and they’ll make it for you right there…you won’t regret it.
- Sharing a Room
This has been one of the biggest adjustments for me. I’m one of those people that snoozes their alarm 10 times before actually getting up. As soon as my roommates hear it, they make sure I’m up and not sleeping through class.
One of my favorite things about Lasell is the location. I love being so close to the city but still being able to have a campus experience. Yes, the Uber and restaurant bills do start to add up after a while, but it’s okay! It’ll all be worth it in the end.
I’m excited to see what my next four years here at Lasell will bring. The people and the memories I have made so far are some I’ll never forget, and I can’t wait to make more.
