This fall we saw the newest in fashion and style with Fall Fashion Week 2018. The world’s most illustrious designers displayed their new work on runways all across the world.
The most memorable being Jeremy Scott, who is also the creative director of Moschino displayed his namesake line in Milan. The designer is often known for his eccentric and eye catching takes on fashion and this year he did not disappoint. Moschino’s Spring 2019 line this fall brought us back decades while also adding a cartoonish feel to each of his pieces. All of which appear to look like they are sketches.
The looks were of an ‘80s vintage couture tailleurs with grand waist-cinching bows, pouf sleeves and skirts, and saucy wrap dresses. The entire line went viral on social media and it was clear that Jeremy Scott had reinvented himself once again.
The show began with a phone call between Scott and supermodel Gigi Hadid, warning him that he was late for his own runway show and all he had were sketches. Models walked covered in scribbles appearing as if the patterns were drawn right on top of them. Hadid closed the show with the most iconic look of the evening: a bubble-shaped bridal dress accompanied with matching cathedral veil.
Hadid wore this garment down the runway holding a bouquet of baby’s breath, followed by butterflies that looked like they were holding up the grand veil. The entire line went viral on social media and it was clear that Jeremy Scott had reinvented himself once again.
