The Lasers defeated the Dean College Bulldogs on Wednesday afternoon with a score of 15-8, moving to 3-5 on the season and 2-0 in Great Northeastern Athletic Conference play.

Lasell and Dean played a back-and-forth game through the first quarter, as the Lasers trailed 3-2. The back-and-forth continued for most of the second quarter before the Lasers broke out, scoring five goals to lead 7-5 at half time. The Lasers would carry their strong performance through the rest of the game, only allowing three more Dean goals.

Eight different players made the score sheet for the Lasers. First year Ryan Stone led the way, scoring his second career hat trick and tallying two assists on five shots, bringing him to 20 points on the year. Junior Landon Reyes also scored a hat trick for the Lasers while senior James Anderson scored four goals.

Sophomore Anthony DeRosa and senior Bash Cunningham also had strong games, each scoring three points. Senior Jordan Hines also tallied four points in the win.

Senior goaltender Alex Beauchemin looked strong in the net, making 11 saves on 19 shots, and improving to 3-4 on the season. Beauchemin also adds to his all-time career win record at Lasell moving to 29 wins.

Dean’s Diego Alvarez-Segee was their leading scorer, collecting three goals and one assist.

Head Coach Dieter Treusdell was happy the Lasers were able to play a complete game and work together to secure the win.

“We definitely played to our potential today. It was good to get a good team win and get a lot of guys, a lot of playing time today, a lot of experience and we wanted to come out fast,” Treusdell said. “We started a little slower than we expected, but at the end of the day, we put it all together and played a full game, which we haven’t done this year. So, I’m excited and they deserve it.”

The Lasers will travel to Rivier on Saturday for their next game with hopes to extend their win streak to four games.
