Meet The Editors

Krista DeJulio Co-Editor-In-Chief

Krista is a full-time student by day and a part-time journalist every other time of the day and night. She’s known for giving opinions on music and movies that were never asked for and wearing a lot of lipstick. She wants to become a music critic when she graduates, writing profiles and reviews. She enjoys being outside, reading, photography, attending concerts, and writing long letters.

Ryan FitzgeraldCo-Editor-In-Chief

Ryan is the co-editor, alongside Krista, for The 1851 Chronicle. He is a senior Journalism major here at Lasell and joined the paper in his sophomore year. Ryan is from the town of Brewster on Cape Cod and enjoys spending summers on the beach or scooping ice cream at the Ice Cream Cafe in Orleans. He’s a big sports fan and aspires to be a great sports writer in his future.

Jamie McTigue | Art Director

Jamie is a senior at Lasell from Long Island, NY. She is a communication major with a focus on creative advertising and a minor in graphic design. She loves hanging out with her dogs and listening to country music in her free time.

Tristan DavisFeatures Editor

Tristan is a senior Communications major with a focus in media writing and journalism. He was born in scenic Rochester, NY and has two dogs named Gilly and Cleese, both of whom are large breeds weighing roughly 150 pounds. He aims to become a paid writer in the future, and would like to work in film or television. Tristan’s favorite TV show is Fargo and his favorite film is The Grand Budapest Hotel.

Haleigh Santilli | Co-Editor of Arts & Entertainment

Haleigh is a commuter student at Lasell. She is the Co-Editor of Arts and Entertainment with Mackenzie Dineen for the 1851 Chronicle, as well as student ambassador blogger for Wanderu.com. Haleigh has a passion for exploring new places, and learning about people. She one day hopes to write for a magazine, and her own children’s novel.

Mackenzie Dineen | Co-Editor of Arts & Entertainment

Mackenzie is the Co-Editor of the Arts & Entertainment section, alongside Haleigh Santilli. She is a sophomore at Lasell studying entertainment media with minors in Graphic Design and Performing Arts. When she is not busy writing for school, Mackenzie is writing and singing music, eating ice cream, or hanging Halloween decorations.

Alex Balletto | Copy Editor 
Alex Balletto is the Copy Editor, alongside Nicole Taylor, for the Chronicle. He is a sophomore Law and Public Affairs major at Lasell. Alex is the Vice President of Academic Affairs sitting on Lasell’s Student Government Association. Alex is also a Lasell ambassador, co-chair of the Diversity and Inclusion Committee, and treasurer of the Class of 2019. He is involved with Lasell’s Development Office, serving as an assistant to the Assistant Director of Government and Community Relations. He intends to pursue a career in Government Relations, focusing on health care. Alex enjoys the outdoors and spending time with friends and family. He was raised in East Hampton, Connecticut, where he now serves as a part-time statistical analyst for the municipality.

Seán McGloneNews Editor

Seán first became News editor in the fall of 2015. Besides writing, Seán enjoys music, movies, and sports like soccer, football, tennis, and professional wrestling. Anyone who sees a tall kid wearing a John Cena t-shirt should definitely start a conversation with him, he loves to talk to people. Seán is a very hard-worker who is always cracking jokes.

Megan PalumboSports Editor

Megan, a sophomore at Lasell, is from Southington, Connecticut. She is a communications major with a double concentration in journalism and public relations. Megan is on the lacrosse team at Lasell, and also enjoys playing field hockey, doing arts and crafts, and binge watching The Office on Netflix.

Leanne SignorielloOpinion Editor

Leanne is a junior sports communications major, a Boston sports fan, and a Netflix enthusiast. In her free time, when not writing for the 1851 Chronicle or talking about sports, she is either at Dunkin Donuts, star-gazing, or busy planning her wedding to Tom Brady.
