Meet The Editors


Seán McGlone Editor-In-Chief

Seán first became involved with The 1851 Chronicle in the fall of 2014. Besides serving as Editor-in-Chief this year, he also served as News Editor for two years before. Aside from writing, Seán enjoys music, movies, and sports like soccer, football, tennis, and professional wrestling. Anyone who sees a tall kid wearing a John Cena t-shirt should definitely start a conversation with him, he loves to talk to people. Seán is a very hard-worker who is always cracking jokes.



Leanne Signoriello | Features Editor/Co-Junior Editor-in-Chief

Leanne is a senior sports communications major, a Boston sports fan, and a Netflix enthusiast. In her free time, when not writing for the 1851 Chronicle or talking about sports, she is either at Dunkin Donuts, star-gazing, or busy planning her wedding to Tom Brady.



Michael Bueno | Opinion Editor/Co-Junior Editor-in-Chief

Michael has been a member of The 1851 Chronicle staff since the fall of 2016 and if you can’t find him working in his various extracurriculars, he’s probably out taking photos.



Morgan Van Wickler | Art Director

Morgan is a sophomore at Lasell from Long Island, NY. She is a Fashion Merchandising major who does great work with inDesign.



Colin FromentNews Editor

Colin is a junior communications major with a journalism concentration. He has been a member of The 1851 Chronicle since the fall of 2015, and served as News Editor since the beginning of this year. When not reporting, Colin is fixing computers at the IT Help Desk, writing stories or watching movies. If there’s a new superhero movie coming out, Colin is usually the one to write a review on it.



Mackenzie Dineen | Arts & Entertainment

Mackenzie is the Co-Editor of the Arts & Entertainment section, alongside Haleigh Santilli. She is a sophomore at Lasell studying entertainment media with minors in Graphic Design and Performing Arts. When she is not busy writing for school, Mackenzie is writing and singing music, eating ice cream, or hanging Halloween decorations.


Alex Balletto | Copy Editor 
Alex Balletto is the Copy Editor, alongside Megan Palumbo, for The 1851 Chronicle. He is a junior Law and Public Affairs major at Lasell. Alex is also a Lasell ambassador, co-chair of the Diversity and Inclusion Committee, and treasurer of the Class of 2019. He is involved with Lasell’s Development Office, serving as an assistant to the Assistant Director of Government and Community Relations. He intends to pursue a career in Government Relations, focusing on health care. Alex enjoys the outdoors and spending time with friends and family. He was raised in East Hampton, Connecticut, where he now serves as a part-time statistical analyst for the municipality.


Megan PalumboSports Editor/Copy Editor

Megan, a junior at Lasell, is from Southington, Connecticut. She is a communication major with a double concentration in journalism and public relations. Megan enjoys yoga, arts and crafts, concerts, and just studied abroad in South Africa this past fall.
