Katie Peters | Editor-in-Chief
Katie Peters is a junior communications major with a concentration in journalism. She has been a member of The 1851 Chronicle since fall of 2018. She grew up in Southern New Hampshire spending her summers hiking and camping with friends and family. She also enjoys traveling, gardening and photography.
Claire Crittendon | Editor-in-Chief
Claire is a rising junior with a self designed, individualized major, communication in violence prevention. Originally from Framingham, Massachusetts, she has been a member of The 1851 Chronicle since her first semester in January 2019. After graduation, Claire hopes to create content for non-profit organizations centered around community outreach. In her spare time, she can be found DJ’ing her radio show or hiking anywhere in New England.
Rachel Shepard | Copy Editor
Rachel is a sophomore transfer student from Deerfield, New Hampshire. She is a communications major with a concentration in journalism, and a minor in graphic design. Outside of The Chronicle she is usually hiking or about to start another unfinished painting project.
Meghan Carroll | News Editor
Meghan is a senior from Douglas, Massachusetts. She is currently pursuing a degree in communications focusing mainly on journalism and public relations. Meghan aspires to work within the sports industry whether it be marketing, broadcasting, or journalism. She is also a member of the women’s volleyball team and the women’s basketball team. If you see her around on campus, she most definitely has an ice coffee in her hand sprinting to either practice or class. Aside from sports, Meghan enjoys hiking, the beach, hanging out with her friends, family, and her dog.
Micheal Maruk | Art Director
Michael is a sophomore studying communications with concentration in radio/TV production and a minor in journalism. When Mike isn’t working with The 1851 Chronicle staff, he is most likely working at the WLAS radio station, shooting pictures, and film of sorts or even rowing with the Lasell Crew Team.
Holly Feola | Opinion Editor
Holly is a junior at Lasell from Pelham, New Hampshire. She is majoring in psychology and minoring in communications. Outside of The 1851 Chronicle, she is a member of Empty Bowls and a resident assistant. She also was an orientation leader this past summer. Holly enjoys the beach and loves to spend time with her dog, family, and friends.
Abigail Brown | Arts & Entertainment Editor
Abigail is a junior at Lasell studying fashion media & marketing. Abi is from Hopkinton, Massachusetts and likes to spend her time taking hikes with friends. Besides writing for the 1851 Chronicle, she writes for Polished Magazine’s blog, is a social media director, and writer for Analog Magazine.
Ruth Kehinde | Digital Editor
Ruth is from Brooklyn, New York. She is a senior majoring in journalism and minoring in political science. She has been a member of The 1851 Chronicle since fall of 2017. As an RA these past two years, Kehinde loves helping and inspiring not just her residents but anyone around her. Some fun facts about her is that she practiced martial arts for 12 years, loves to hike, cruise around on her longboard, and draw/paint for besides writing, art is her passion.
Bailey Klingaman | Digital Editor
Bailey is a junior from Atkinson, New Hampshire. She is involved in a three year program at Lasell, is majoring in journalism, and is pursuing a minor in photography. She has been a member of The 1851 Chronicle since the fall of 2019 and is a peer writing and speech tutor on campus. When she isn’t writing, Bailey enjoys painting, doing puzzles, and kickboxing.
Taylor Viles | Sports Editor
Taylor Viles is a junior communications major double concentrating in sports communication and journalism. His career goal is to become an inspirational sports broadcaster. He interned with the Falmouth Commodores of the Cape Cod Baseball League in 2019 and planed to return in 2020 but COVID-19 shut down those plans. Instead, he was able to freelance for the league during the course of the summer. Taylor is excited to bring a new energy to the sports editor position this school year.
Kaie M. Quigley | Features Editor
Kaie M. Quigley is a sports communication major from a small town in Southern Vermont. As a sophomore, this is his second year writing for The 1851 Chronicle and his first year as an editor. When he isn’t writing, Kaie likes to socialize with close friends or play golf.
Robby Rowe | Illustrator
Robby Rowe is a senior at Lasell. He has a communications major with a concentration in radio, video, and music. He is also interning for the Boston Hassle and illustrates/films for The Chronicle.
