On Sunday, September 20 Wedeman gallery held the opening reception for “Le Lam: Sketches from the South”. Artist Le Lam’s work reveals what everyday life was like in Vietnam from 1965 to 1974 in the form of portraits and battlefield scenes. This is the artist’s first showing in the United States and will remain in the gallery until Saturday, October 3.

Disney-Pixar movies are known to bring out emotions in adults and children alike. The franchise’s newest film, “Inside Out,” released Thursday night, is about just that: emotions. This film is unlike anything we have seen before. The film follows five emotions inside the head of 11-year old Riley who is normally happy. When her parents move her from Minnesota to San Francisco sadness engulfs her, eventually destroying her personality and memories. More…

Lasell hosts “Migrating Colors” gallery Reply

Until April 18, the Wedeman Gallery in Yamawaki will be hosting “Migrating Colors,” an exhibit featuring Haitian artists from the city of Jacmel. The show, in partnership with the Haitian Artists Assembly of Massachusetts (HAAM), displays an amalgam of works from the artists, depicting their life before the devastating earthquake in 2010. More…
