Lasers drop final weekend home game to Curry College

Following a riveting matchup against the Anna Maria Amcats Saturday afternoon, the Lasers returned to Taylor Field to face Curry College. Despite a strong effort, the Lasers fell to Curry 6-2.

Lasers, Amcats end even at Taylor Field

The Lasers faced the Amcats of Anna Maria College this Saturday at Taylor Field for their second home game of the season. After an intense ninety minutes, the match ended in a 1-1 tie.

Coming into the game, Anna Maria were 0-2, and had only scored one goal in their first two games combined. That being said, the Amcat attacks were aggressive and frequent, led in large part by sophomore Rubelsi Moran, and senior Hezekiah Adeyeye.

Commencement speakers hope to inspire

Like all great things, they must come to an end. Commencement is one milestone in particular that stands out as a great accomplishment in academia. It celebrates the completion of schooling for many as well as the introduction to the workforce of tomorrow. Luckily enough there are a few chosen to inspire those forward in that next step and we were able to have a chance to speak to a couple of them to get their thoughts on life after Lasell.

Laser teams see Spring season success

The spring sports season is in full swing for Laser teams, and many programs are consistently tallying wins in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) play. Namely, the baseball, softball, and lacrosse teams have all succeeded in their own ways thus far in 2022.

Five-year strategic plan undergoes changes

Since October, President Michael Alexander, the Senior Management Team, and the Board of Trustees have been working with faculty, professors, students, and other community members to adjust the university’s five-year strategic plan. The Speed of Change Steering Committee was formed in the fall of 2020 to reexamine the current plan, Vision 2022, and make adjustments for a pandemic-enduring University.
