Hannah Smith: Where does your passion for sexual education come from?
Corey Zemke: I knew that the Peer Health Educators did things revolving around sexual education, but they’ve never done much and the students have been requesting more. Allison Weinberg [Witcomb], my advisor (and the peer health professional staff leader), let me have full reins and I’m running with it.

Lasell kicked off the school year in September with a celebratory Lasell U-Belong event in the Arnow Quad to commemorate the institution’s new university status. The event started with Assistant Vice President & Chief Diversity Officer Jesse Tauriac and a panel of community members welcoming attendees to the event, saying how everyone belonged at Lasell.

On Aug. 13, 2019 students were soaking up the last weeks of summer before they headed back to Lasell College. However, that would soon change. Students wouldn’t be returning to Lasell College in the fall. That morning, President Michael Alexander appeared in our email inboxes, class Facebook pages and social media feeds to announce “Lasell University.”

Members of both the LGBT and ally community gathered in the Arnow Campus Center on Tuesday, September 24, to attend the second ever Lasell University Drag Night event, starring two-time performer Destiny, and Dylan, of Pride Club.

President Michael Alexander hosted a barbeque for First Year Honors Students this past Tuesday, September 17 on the Arnow Campus Center Quad. All freshmen honors students and staff gathered together to be celebrated on their new endeavors of being a part of Lasell University.
The President’s BBQ offered a variety of food choices such as burgers, chicken, mac and cheese.
