The men’s lacrosse team traveled to Baltimore this past spring break to play University of New England at Johns Hopkins University. Although the team was defeated 16-9, they toured various aspects of Maryland throughout their stay.

Last spring the men’s lacrosse team came close to making history, being the first men’s lacrosse team at Lasell to win a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) title. The men squared up against the Saints of Emmanuel College in the GNAC Championship game. It was a nail biting game. In the end, the Saints earned the victory over the Lasers with a final score of 14 – 13, proving it was a true battle for the GNAC title.

While various members of the men’s volleyball team ventured to Niagara Falls and the Mohegan Sun Casino, the rest of Lasell’s athletes dispersed throughout North America in search of more 2016 victories. Panning out as far as Puerto Rico and Florida, the Lasers collected key wins over schools from MA, NY, and PA.

Before each sports season, coaches in each conference get together and compile a list of teams that they believe are going to make a big splash. This year, Lasell’s men’s lacrosse was voted number two in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC).

The Lasell College Athletic Department hired Bill Mason as the new men’s lacrosse head coach, as well as the travel and intramural coordinator. The recent hiring fills the place left vacant by former head coach Tim Dunton.

Tim Dunton, Head Coach of Lasell men’s lacrosse, achieved his 100th game win against Louisiana’s Centenary College after traveling to Texas with his team during spring break this season. Dunton began his career at Lasell in the Admission’s office after graduating from Endicott. More…
