Men’s Basketball
Men’s basketball opens up the 2018- 19 campaign with three games in five days beginning on the road at Fitchburg State on Saturday, Nov. 10 at 12:00 p.m. Two days later, the Lasers will host Regis a non-conference home opener at 7:00 p.m. Hopping back out of conference action, the Lasers host 2017 National Champion Babson on Wednesday, Nov. 14.

Lasell Athletics recently hired Michael McGrane as the new Head Coach for the Men’s and Women’s Cross Country and Track and Field teams.

Lasell’s men and women’s track teams competed at the Eric Loeschner Invitational in Fitchuburg on Saturday, April 15. The Lasers matched up against 21 other schools — Fitchburg State hosted the event.

Placing 14th at the World Irish Dancing Championships in Glasgow, Scotland, freshman Megan Stella has been dancing for 15 years and reaching for her goals ever since she started. Stella has qualified and will compete at the World Championships this coming April in Dublin, Ireland for McInerney School of Irish Dance.

Even without a proper place to practice on campus, the men and women’s track and field teams are doing great so far this season. Speaking in terms of Division III sports, the men and women’s track and field team is beyond impressive. They shock. They stun. They break and create new re- cords every time there is a meet. If you asked Chelsea Zeig seven years ago about participating in the Maccabiah Games, she probably would have said you’re crazy. Zeig is senior from West Nyack, New York majoring in Curriculum and Instruction. Seven years ago, Zeig started her career as a track athlete with her volleyball coach encouraging her to do a second sport to stay in shape. Zeig refers to herself as a “shot putter,” but she also participates in other throwing events including discus, weight throw, javelin, and hammer.
